A roundtable on "Higher education and business in the context of the Europe 2020 strategy" at the Tsenov Academy of Economics gathered together teachers, students and representatives from practice. The forum was one of the last events organised under the project "New skills for a successful career for students from the Tsenov Academy of Economics”. Among the guests were Professor Lyuben Kirev, PhD – the Vice-Rector of the Tsenov Academy of Economics and head of the project, the Mayor of Svishtov, Stanislav Blagov, Tomcho Tomov – the Head of the National Competence Assessment Center for the Bulgarian Industrial Association, Lyudmil Yordanov – the Deputy Head of Customs, Svishtov, directors from various institutions, business executives, and experts from practice.


In conclusion, the head of the National Competence Assessment Center for the BIA indicated that the Academy of Economics is a great example of working in unity, and that the project has played an important role in changing minds. Tomov thanked all the experts, teachers and students who were present, the project team and wished the realisation of new joint initiatives success.


Each roundtable participant received a project compendium called "Higher education and business in the context of the Europe 2020 strategy". In almost 400 pages, the work of students, teachers and professionals from practice are presented in three main areas - "Innovative approaches to business education," "Educational products in economics, administration and management", and "Business involvement in the learning process - partnership models ".
