The Foundation is a legal entity registered in Bulgaria at 2, Emanuil Chakarov Str., in the town and municipality of Svishtov and region of Veliko Tarnovo as a public benefit organisiation pursuant to Art. 2, Para. 1 of the Law for Non-Profit Corporate Bodies (legal entities).
The Dimitar Apostolov Tsenov Foundation continues the activities of the Tsenov Board of Trustees, the Tsenov Fund, the Elenka and G. Visokovi Fund and the Dimitar Tsenov Foundation.
Objectives
The Foundation is an independent non-government and non-profit organization that aims to support the education and scientific research in the fields of economics, public governance, business management and other social sciences and humanities studied at the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics in Svishtov.
The foundation has the following specific objectives:
- to implement various educational scientific research projects in the fields of economics, public governance, business management and other social sciences and humanities;
- to finance programmes for fundamental scientific research in the field of economics and business administration;
- to organize and provide financial support for organization of symposia, workshops, conferences, round tables and competitions in the country and abroad;
- to organize and provide financial support for the exchange of faculty and students with foreign scientific organizations and institutions;
- to organize and provide financial support for short- and long-term specializations of lecturers from the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics in the country and abroad;
- to provide financial support for majors at the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics that are not subsidized by the state;
- to provide financial support for acquisition of educational and scientific research facilities;
- to provide financial support for lecturers and students from the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics;
- to provide financial support for publishing and publicity activities.
Structure and functions
Governing bodies:
- General Assembly – the primary governance body of the Foundation. It consists of all members of the Academic Council of the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics.
- Managing Board – responsible for the operative management of the activities and the control over the implementation of the decisions of the General Assembly and the Managing Board. It consists of 9 members elected by the General Assembly.

The Programme aims to provide financial support for the D. A. Tsenov Publishing House.
Programme: “SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS”
1. The Programme aims to provide financial support for talented and distinguished students as well as for scientific research projects.
2. The Programme provides:
· scholarships to students studying at the Academy of Economics;
· grants for education in foreign higher education institutions;
· grants for projects developed by scientific teams, individual researchers, etc..
Programme: “SCIENTIFIC FORUMS”
The Programme aims to provide financial support for the organization of scientific events.
Programme: “THE ACADEMIC LECTURER”
The Programme aims to provide financial support for developing the knowledge, skills and practical experience of the faculty of the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics
Programme: “SCIENTIFIC EXCHANGE”
The Programme aims to provide financial support for the scientific exchange with other national and foreign institutions.
Programme: “MAJORS AND EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY”
The Programme aims to provide financial support for studies related to the development of the economics majors in the country and abroad as well as theoretical and practical research in the field of the technology of education in the higher schools.
Programme: “ACADEMIC INFRASTRUCTURE”
The Programme aims to provide financial support for the normal operation and development of the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics
Programme: “BUSINESS EDUCATION”
The Programme aims to provide financial support for practical business education, internships, research projects and study and teaching aids.
Programme: “INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES AND INTERNET”
The Programme aims to provide financial support for the academic IT infrastructure and information service provision.
Programme: “EDUCATIONAL MARKETING AND ADVERTISING”
The Programme aims to provide financial support for marketing research and analyses of the educational market, the rating of the academic courses and Master's Degree programmes as well as the professional development of the graduates from the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics.
