Erasmus+, Key Action 171 is EU programme for incoming and outgoing mobility of students and staff between Programme and Partner countries.
Programme countries are the EU members plus Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Iceland Liechtenstein, Norway, Turkey and Serbia.
Partner countries are non-EU countries who are eligible according to the Erasmus+ programme guide (excluding Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Iceland Liechtenstein, Norway, Turkey and Serbia).
If you are a student at one of our partner universities from Programme countries (list of partner universities you can find here) you should contact your International Office or Erasmus+ office (if any) and to apply for Erasmus+ mobility there.
If you are a student at one of our partner universities from Partner countries (list of partner universities you can find here) you should contact your International or Erasmus+ office (if any) and check if there are available positions for mobility at the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics. The number of available positions is limited and different every year.
You may contact your International office or Erasmus+ office (if any) in order to be informed if there will be selection for Erasmus+ mobility for studies. Every university may have different requirements and selection criteria.
After your selection at your university, please complete our application form and learning agreement. You may find the necessary documents on our website.
The application form includes your contact details, your preferences regarding accommodation, linguistic support, expected dates of arrival and departure, etc. Please complete the application form and attach all necessary documents referred inside.
The learning agreement has a standard from and it includes information about your mobility period, sending and hosting institutions, the courses you should pass at D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics, as well as the courses that will be recognised by your university. We have prepared for you a short guide for completing the learning agreement form. N.B. Bear in mind that your learning agreement should be prepared and signed (by you, our Erasmus+ Institutional coordinator, and your responsible person) BEFORE the mobility period.
The grant is the overall sum given to cover the difference in the living standard between sending and receiving country.
Selected students from Partner countries will receive travel grant which has to cover their travel expenses. The amount is fixed according to the travel distance between the home and host university, as well as the type of the transport means. For more details, please refer to erasmus@uni-svishtov.bg.
N.B. Please note that the amount is fixed and if your ticket is cheaper or more expensive, you won’t have to return money or receive more funding.

In case of long-term mobility, the individual grant is 800 EUR per month. If the month is not full, the grant will be recalculated according to the real stay (e.g. If according to the agreement the mobility period is 4 months, but the real stay of the student is 3 months and 24 days, the individual grant will be: 3 x 800 + (24/30) x 800 = 2400 + 640 = 3040 EUR instead of 3200 EUR (or 160 EUR less).

Upon arrival you will sign a financial agreement with D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics and you will receive 80% of your full grant (travel grant plus individual grant for the entire mobility period). The last 20% of the grant will be transferred to you after the completion of the EU survey, which will be automatically sent to your email in the last month of your mobility.

The chosen courses will compose your curriculum at D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics. Your curriculum is a part of your learning agreement (“before the mobility” section). You may find the learning agreement form on our website
Yes, you may. Your have up to 5 weeks from the beginning of the semester to make changes in your curriculum, as well as to complete and sign “during the mobility” section of your learning agreement for studies.

Yes, you will. You will be assigned a buddy from our ESN (ERASMUS STUDENT NETWORK) who will support you.
Yes, you will. To obtain full academic recognition you have to meet the minimum requirements about the duration of your stay, as well as about the number of credits awarded. The minimum mobility period should be 2 full months. Regarding the minimum number of credits, please contact your International or Erasmus+ office (if any).
In case you don’t meet the minimum requirement for 2-months duration of the mobility, you should return the received grants (excluding force majeure circumstances). Students from Programme countries should contact their international or Erasmus+ office to get more information.

(For all non-EU students) We will prepare for you an acceptance letter and an invitation letter to the Bulgarian Embassy abroad. Please send us a valid passport in advance. You may find information in our ECTS Information Package.
You should keep all your travel documents from the country of your university to Svishtov and vise versa – tickets (if you travel by bus or train), boarding passes (if you travel by plane), fuel invoices/receipts, vignettes, toll fees, etc. (if you travel by car). It is a mandatory requirement for paying the travel grant.
Please report your type of fewer opportunities in the Online application form for student mobility and submit all necessary document to prove your status. If you a person with special need, please complete the Application form for additional financial support under Erasmus+ programme for students and staff with special needs from HEIs.
Yes, you may. Students who are: (1) with permanent disabilities and reduced working capacity of at least 70% or (2) war invalids and war casualties or (3) full orphans or (4) parents of 3 or more children could receive an additional inclusion support of (in case of long-term mobility) 250 EUR per month and (in case of short-term mobility) 100 EUR (5-14 days)/150 EUR (15-30 days) beyond what is provided as an individual support.
Students in particular physical, mental and health-related conditions may receive inclusion support which cover up to 100% of the real cost.
