An Erasmus+ partner from France declared its interest in developing a double-degree Master programme with the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics


 
 

A delegation from the French University of the Littoral Opal Coast visited the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics and declared its interest in establishing a new double degree Master programme. The visit aimed at going beyond the Erasmus+ partnership and offering a unique education product that combines the expertise of the French university in the field of tourism geography and spatial planning with the knowledge and expertise of the Department of Economics and Management of Tourism in the field of tourism and hospitality management.

Prof. Vincent Herbert – the Director of Master programme in tourism and Dr. Eugenia Madelaine – lecturer at ULCO had a meeting with the Vice-rector for Education, Prof. Maryana Bozhinova, Assoc. Prof. Marusya Smokova, the Director of Centre for International Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Petya Ivanova, the Head of the Department of Economics and Management of Tourism, and other members of the academic staff of the Department. The meeting started with a brief introduction of ULCO and its master programmes in the field of tourism. During the meeting Assoc. Prof. P. Ivanova presented to the guests the academic staff of the Department, its history, market position and competitive advantages. She presented the curricula of the two master programmes in Tourism management and Hospitality management delivered in English by the Department.

The participants shared their experience in developing programmes for double-degree diploma and discussed the legal requirements and the next steps for further collaboration and establishing an agreement between both institutions.
