D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics hosted its partners under the HERITAGE GAME project

The second week of February was marked with hard working, thorough discussions with precious partners, meaningful directions for going further, much laughter, outstanding experience, and memories for whole life. D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics hosted in Svishtov its HERITAGE GAME partners from Portugal, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Turkiye. The first in-person meeting under the project 2023-1-PT01-KA220-HED-000154261 “A gamification model for community-based heritage work” was held on 7-9 February 2024 under the Erasmus+ programme. The meeting was organised in three days.

The first day was primarily focused on the Work package 1. Project management and Work package 5. Dissemination. The coordinator of the project and the leader of the Work package No. 1 Polytechnic Institute of Tomar (Portugal) presented project objectives, calendar, budget, platform, and reporting. The role and responsibilities of different project governing bodies were discussed. Partners agreed on the frequency of their progress check meetings.  At the end of the first day, partners discussed their communication and dissemination plans, website domain, its main sections, and chose their project logo.

The second day was dedicated on Work package 2. Best practices. The workshops were led by the co-leaders of the package – D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics (Bulgaria) and Valahia University of Tagoviste (Romania). After a short presentation on work package description, main activities, expected results and qualitative and quantitative indicators, the partners discussed the list of criteria for best practice identification. A three-stage approach for development of a final list of criteria was proposed.

The third day was focused on the analytical tools for data collection. The co-leaders of the Work package 2 proposed a template for evaluation of practices, as well as a template for documenting best practices. At the end of the sessions, the partners agreed on their next steps, tasks, and virtual meetings for successful completion of the work package.

The project partners planned their next face-to-face meeting for September 2024. The host of the second in-person meeting will be Valahia University of Tagoviste.
