Promising new partnership with MeWe Institute for Innovative Research – Florence, Italy
During the second international partnership meeting of the EMSTEP project - Empowering Middle School Teachers for Social Inclusion through Observation-based Professional Development, held in the period 1-3 April 2025 in Oslo, Norway, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Department of Strategic Planning at the D.A. Tsenov Academy of Economics – Svishtov, Bulgaria and MeWe Institute for Innovative Research - Florence, Italy.
The conclusion of this memorandum marks an important step forward in the expansion of the international activities of the Strategic Planning Department, which has consistently developed collaborations with innovative international partners. On behalf of the Department, the signing was attended by Head Assist. Prof. Nadezhda Veselinova, PhD, Scientific Secretary of the Department, and Head Assist. Prof. Yuliyan Gospodinov, PhD, managing EMSTEP project from the Bulgarian side and Departmental Erasmus Coordinator. On behalf of MeWe Institute, the document was signed by Mr. Samuele Mori, Director of the Institute.
This strategic partnership lays the foundation for active cooperation in research, education and social innovation. The two institutions are committed to exchanging best practices, participating jointly in international projects and developing innovative solutions for professional development and social inclusion.
MeWe is a contemporary research institute founded in Florence in 2018 as part of the Murate Idea Park initiative. The organisation combines social and digital sciences and develops innovative methodologies to analyse consumer behaviour and societal attitudes in the context of digital transformation. The project is the result of the efforts of a team of young entrepreneurs, academics and communication experts, and has already received recognition from SSATI - School of Business Science and Industrial Technology since its inception.
Department of Strategic Planning at D.A. Tsenov Academy of Economics continues to consolidate its role as an academic and research center that successfully combines the academic tradition with the modern requirements of the dynamically changing global society.
The conclusion of this memorandum is further evidence of the Department's commitment to internationalisation, innovation and active participation in finding answers to contemporary social and educational challenges.
