D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics Svishtov participated in the Central European Network for Sustainable and Innovative Economy project’s closing conference

Prof. Aleksandrina Aleksandrova, PhD from the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics Svishtov participated in the closing conference of the "Central European Network for Sustainable and Innovative Economy" project. The event was held in the period September 12-14, 2022, in the city of Prague, Czech Republic. The official host was the Czech University of Life Sciences, a project partner.

Researchers from 6 universities took part in the conference - D. A. Tsenov Academy, Poznan University of Economics and Business, University of Szeged, University of Zagreb, the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague and Poznań University of Economics and Business, which is also a beneficiary of the project. The Moderator of the event was the project manager Prof. Barbara Borusiak, PhD from the Poznań University of Economics and Business. According to the conference program, during the first and second days, participants from each partnering organization presented the deliverables of the past three years and outlined directions for future partner initiatives of the network.

According to the program, within the second conference day, the team from the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics presented the most significant results achieved by the university’s representatives during the project implementation. It was reported that scientists of the Academy registered twenty-one individual participations in six events organized within the project activities. Twice, in the fall of 2021 and the spring of 2022, the D. A. Tsenov Academy has hosted scientists from partner universities who have conducted individual research mobilities under the project. Ten researchers from the Poznań University of Economics and Business visited the Academy. In September 2021 two joint scientific forums were held. The Department of "Industrial Business and Entrepreneurship" from the Academy of Economics and the Department of "Corporate Resource Management" from the Poznań University of Economics and Business participated in a round table on the topic of "Business in the digital environment" and in a seminar focused on the opportunities for cooperation between the two units. In the period 18-22 July 2022, four professors from the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics Svishtov participated in individual research mobilities at the partner university of Poznań. During these mobilities, the researchers outlined the main priorities for future research and project initiatives.

As part of the project, activities have been published six e-books - educational resources focused on sustainable economy and scientific research. Eight professors from the Academy of Economics Svishtov joined the international author collectives of five of the published books with their manuscripts. All electronic educational and scientific resources are published with open access. They are accessible through the project's official website, the Poznań University of Economics and Business and the Digital Library of the Academy.

Through its participation in the project, the Academy also achieved results in expanding its membership in inter-university scientific networks. Since 2021, the Academy of Economics has been a member of the research exchange network CEEPUS Network "Central European Network for Sustainable and Innovative Economy" CIII-PL-0000-00-2122.

The Academy of Economics Svishtov has ensured the dissemination of the progress on the project implementation and the achieved results through a series of publications in a specially designated section on the official website of the university. These publications are bilingual - in Bulgarian and English.

During the third day of the conference, the emphasis was placed on expanding the Central European Network for Sustainable and Innovative Economy - (CENETSIE) scientific network. During the organized inter-team meetings were discussed many questions regarding upcoming joint initiatives that will be implemented by the partner organizations. The participants in the conference received Certificates.

D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics Svishtov took part in a Research Workshop on Innovation

Tsenov  Academy of Economics Svishtov participated in a workshop organized under the implementation of the "Central European Network for Sustainable and Innovative Economy" project. The event took place from 16 to 17 June 2022, in Krakow, Poland, hosted by the Poznań University of Economics and Business.
Scientists from the  6 partner universities - D.  A. Tsenov Academy, Poznan University of Economics and Business, University of  Szeged, University of Zagreb, the Czech University of Natural Sciences in  Prague and Prague University of Economics and Business took part in the event. Assoc. Prof. Robert Romanowski, PhD  - Coordinator of Innovation Management Study  Program at Poznań University of Economics and Business moderated the event and put the  focus on various innovative tools in the field of research and their  application in the process of delivering and publishing research results.  Participants discussed some common problems in the field of student education  related to the reintegration of students in the learning environment after the  COVID pandemic. On the second day of the workshop, the focus was on the  certification training in the field of educational innovations in teaching and  the application of the "Serious game play" method in student  training. It was conducted on the learning by doing principle, with teams from  partner organizations discussing current issues in the field of training and  generating ideas for overcoming them while performing the technical tasks set  by the moderator related to actually building a learning environment of the  future with Lego constructors under the "Serious game play" method.  All participants in the training received Certificates for participation.
During the closing event of the workshop, the hosts organized  a cultural and tourist tour of Krakow city. While the tour was going, in an  innovative way were presented innovations in the field of tourism and tourism  education and training for students. The participants in the workshop discussed  some ideas for the development and expansion of the CENETSIE network and future  joint initiatives to be implemented between the partnering organizations.

D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics took part in a workshop on sustainability issues

Tsenov Academy of Economics participated in a workshop organized within the implementation of the project “Central European Network for Sustainable and Innovative Economy”. The event was held from 24 to 25 May 2022, hosted by the Prague University of Economics and Business (Prague, Czech Republic). Participants from 6 partner universities attended the event. It was moderated by the project manager Assoc. Prof. Barbara Borusyak, PhD. The participants from the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics, the University of Poznan in Economics and Business, the University of Szeged, the University of Zagreb, the Czech University of Natural Sciences in Prague and the hosts discussed organizational issues in support of joint research and publications in the field of sustainable development in various aspects. The results of joint research and outlined future guidelines for the development of the network (Central European Network for Sustainable and Innovative Economy - CENETSIE) were presented.

D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics reported to the partners its participation and results in the joint project, mainly related to research in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship and publication of scientific achievements in collective e-books. Willingness and desire for future joint initiatives and projects with other partner universities were expressed.

Workshops on Storytelling and movie education University of Szeged, Hungary, 8-10.11.2021
 

Prof. Margarita Bogdanova, PhD, Head assist. Prof. Anelia Paneva, PhD and Researcher Aleksandrina Aleksandrova, PhD from the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics Svishtov took part in a workshop, organized as a part of the “Central European Network for Sustainable and Innovative Economy” project implementation. Participants from 6 partnering institutions took part in the event which took place at the University of Szeged, Hungary from November 8th to November 10th, 2021. Employees of the Poznan University of Economics and Business, Poland, conducted the workshop dedicated to Storytelling and Movie Education. It was an opportunity to sum up tasks relevant to writing educational materials that have already been prepared – e-books (http://cenetsie.ue.poznan.pl/educational-materials/) and to discuss plans of collaborative research and works for the future.

During the workshops participant also visited laboratories at the Faculty of Engineering and the studio of Egyetem TV  (TV University studio). Participants also learn learned how to use the da Vinci software and its application for movie making. Another topic discussed during the workshop is related to the regulations of the planned student competition. The purpose of the competition is to encourage students from all partnering universities (also PhD students) to create a short movie on Sustainable Development / Sustainability / Innovations. The competition will start on January 1st 2022 and the deadline for submitting movies is May 30th  2022.

Main goal: CENetSIE is a project that aims to build a community of researchers and students around two basic concepts: sustainability and innovations. The plan is to disseminate through the network the new thinking about resources, doing business and economy in general. New thinking is a new paradigm, which is not about the eternal economic growth but about sustainable development, which may be achieved first thanks to innovative solutions and behaviour.
